To Know Christ
And Make
Him Known
Values
We have “Core Values of Faith “ in our Roman Catholic Church.
In our mission statement at St. John de La Salle Church , we seek to live the Gospel Message of Our Lord and we try to have a personal relationship with Our Lord, Jesus Christ. We try to practice our faith and do the things we do out of love for Jesus.
We have CORE VALUES in the Roman Catholic Church :
To Exalt - To Involve people in dynamic corporate worship.
To Evangelize - To Lead people to a saving faith in Jesus Christ.
To Edify - To Help people grow and mature in faith.
To Equip - To Train people for , and involve them in ministry.
To Encourage - To Help people develop a sense of belonging through small groups and healthy personal relationships.
1. Core Value
A very important core value is the Life and Dignity of the Human Person. As Roman Catholics we have a very strong belief in the sanctity of human life and the inherent dignity of the human person is the foundation of all the principles of our social teaching. We believe that every person is precious, that people are more important than things, and that the measure of every institution is whether it threatens or enhances the life and dignity of the human person.
2. Core Value
Our faith should always be centered and founded in God through Jesus Christ. Christianity must be a process of developing an abiding , growing, organic relationship with our Creator. Because my father and grandfather were Catholics, so I follow them. This is a misguided view of what Christianity is all about. We must always develop and commit to a personal faith in God through Christ. We serve a personal faith in God through Jesus Christ. We serve a personal God who cares about the little things as well as the big things in our lives. He desires from us a personal relationship . Our neighbors, friends and family should see evidence of our personal relationship with God by governing our speech, actions, character and values.
3. Core Value
Our Catholic tradition insists that we show our respect for the Creator by our stewardship of creation. We are called to protect people and the planet, living our faith in relationship with all of God’s creation.
4. Core Value
Another core value is Solidarity. Our culture is tempted to turn inward, becoming indifferent and sometimes isolationists in the face of international responsibilities. Catholic social teaching proclaims that we are brothers ‘ and sisters’ keepers, wherever they live. Learning to practice the virtue of solidarity means learning that “ loving our neighbor “ has global dimensions in an interdependent world.
5. Cor Value
Our main focus or core value should be on the Relationship, Not the Religion. Many Catholic leaders and lay men are doing good deeds for which they are to be commended but they have not surrendered to a true relationship with their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. The trust in a relationship with a Person - Jesus, not in a religion or institution. When we stand before God one day, He will not ask us what religious denomination we were, He will ask you only why He should allow you to come to heaven ? “ I have confessed Christ before man and You Lord, and it is by grace alone that I come into your heaven.”

7. Core Value
Do I Acknowledge that I am a sinner needing a Savior ?
Do I turn towards God and away from my old ways ? Do I believe that Jesus Christ is a deity united with humanity ? As the sinless Savior died to pay the penalty for my sins. He died for me so that I could gain salvation, forgiveness of sin, and life everlasting. Do I receive Jesus Christ into my heart and life as my Savior and Lord ?
We all have the same destination - heaven. There are so many paths to heaven as there are people. It is easy to take the wrong path, to lose the way and to fall out of a relationship with the Lord.
